ING Real Estate acquires Clarion Partners

Renaming the firm Clarion, the active senior principals bought out their passive partner’s minority interest and established an independent partnership.

• The firm established a Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) investment affiliate.
• JLWRA acquired an interest in Campbell-Radnor Advisors Real Estate Securities (CRA) adding public real estate capabilities. CRA had managed real estate securities investments since 1984.

Total assets under management reached $1.0 billion.
